Yesterday, tech stocks did something they haven’t done since Covid-19 emerged in March 2020: They’re in bear market.
According to the classic definition, a bear market is a 20% or more drop in a group of stocks from a recent high. After yesterday’s beating, tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite closed 20.1% of November highs.
Scary stuff – but also interesting things if you are a long term investor.
The reality is that every bear market in US history has represented a gold buying opportunity. And that’s especially true for tech stocks. During each downturn, technology tends to jump hundreds of percent over the next few years.
You may have read the headline “Tech Stocks Enter a Bear Market” and worry about the state of the US economy. But I read the headline and got very optimistic — the opportunities that are emerging in today’s market are incredible.
Believe me when I say they can set you up for life.
You just need to know where to look.
Technological Innovation Is the Solution to the Current Crisis
Even though technology stocks are dwindling, next-generation technology products and services are solutions to the world’s problems.
Consider soaring oil and gas prices. Thanks to impending sanctions on Russian exports, oil prices have just hit a 13-year high, while the national average price of gas is now above $4 per gallon. And consumers feel the pinch. Fueling costs are ridiculous these days, and your next heating bill promises to be bigger than you’ve seen for years too.
The fix — pivot for electric vehicles and renewable energy. In a world where your car and house don’t need gas, you’re not at a disadvantage to those price increases.
Of course, we won’t get to that world unless we continue to push the development of solid-state batteries… or perovskite-powered solar panels… or green hydrogen production. And that is why the current crisis will only accelerate investment and development of this breakthrough technology. They are the solution to the current soaring price of fossil fuels.
However, the stocks associated with this innovative technology are crumbling. Buying opportunity? you betcha!
Or what about those soaring grain prices (also thanks to economic sanctions against Russia)? That will make your shopping much more expensive. But don’t have to…
Technology Stock Potential
We are in the early stages of using DNA synthesis to make certain foods without the need for wheat. On a scale, this could eliminate the world’s dependence on wheat for food. And in that world, rising wheat prices are not hurting consumers.
Again, we firmly believe that investment and development of DNA synthesis technology will only accelerate in the coming months. However, those stocks are getting crushed in this market.
Buying opportunity? Right again!
And let’s talk diamonds. Russia is a very large diamond exporter. It will be out of the market, thanks to sanctions. Prices will soar. Suddenly, your child won’t be able to afford that nice engagement ring.
And the fix? Technology, of course — specifically, lab-grown diamonds which, as the name suggests, are grown in laboratories, not mined from deep within the earth. It is made using an advanced technological process that mimics the conditions under which natural diamonds develop in nature. Through this duplicating process, the company is able to create laboratory-developed diamonds that have the same physical, chemical and optical characteristics as natural diamonds. As a result, they exhibit the same fire, shimmer, and shimmer.
They are completely and scientifically indistinguishable from natural diamonds — except for the fact that they are not from Russia and, therefore, would method cheaper in this market.
And again, investment and development of lab-grow diamond technology will only accelerate in the coming months. And the lab’s diamond stock has been destroyed. It’s another… you guessed it… opportunity to buy.
So Many 10X Opportunities in Today’s Tech Stocks
Overall, innovation is the key to solving basically all the problems of today’s world. Yet all the stocks associated with that innovative technology are getting crushed today.
The result is the sea is full of 10X potential investment opportunities in technology stocks.
There is one company, for example, that is turning the housing industry upside down with a revolutionary new way to buy and sell homes. And the stock has been destroyed. From current levels, our model suggests it could increase by more than 10X over the next few years alone.
Others are working on “battery forever” technology that will redefine electric vehicles and the renewable energy industry. The stock has also been smashed — leading our model to predict about 10X the upside potential to that name.
And there’s more, namely creating banking applications that one day will replace Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) and Bank of America (NYSE:READ). The stock is also destroyed. From current levels, we think it has more than 10X upside potential.
Everywhere we look, guys, we see huge opportunities in tech stocks — opportunities that, frankly, only come up once every decade.
Take the Road Less Traveled
When stocks fall, it’s easy to run, hide and seek refuge in a savings account.
But no one ever gets rich by taking the easy route.
As someone who has successfully demonstrated more than 20 10X investment opportunities before I was even 26 years old, the path of least resistance is often the path of lowest return.
The corollary, of course, is that the path of most resistance — which few dare take — is the path through which you can make a lot of money in the market.
There is currently a crossroads, and you have a choice. You can take the easy path and generate returns of 5% or less a year with dividend stocks, or you can take the more difficult path and put yourself in a position to generate 10X-plus returns over the next few years.
For me, the choice is clear. I’ve been busy looking for all the 10X opportunities that are popping up in the market today.
Join me on the right path forward.
